HealthForceRx was conceptualized as a solution to a problem Kelly Kester faced day-to-day as a Nurse Manager. She, along with other nurse leaders, proposed the idea for nurse staffing software through the Duke Heart Incubator and was encouraged to move forward with its development.
HealthForceRx started as a commercializing innovation developed by the Duke Heart Center. The company has successfully piloted and been deployed by widespread adoption within the Duke healthcare ecosystem.
